This has been requested, but I would love some help editing if something is unclear, etc. ;-)
Tagging We use tags in our community. Sometimes it may seem as though we put a lot of emphasis on them and if it comes across that we're more interested in tags than content, I apologize. It's more that we're trying to stay consistent than anything else. ;-) The reason that we use tags is so that we can later go back and more easily find information.
The easiest way to tag in this community is to post from the Livejournal page. If you do, then the available tags for members is in the drop down area below the text box. Scroll through and find what fits the content of the post. If more than one tag fits, hold your control key down and click each tag individually and then click post. :D
If you're using a client (such as Semagic) and not posting from LJ's posting page, then the easiest thing is to go back and edit your post afterwards. I haven't used Semagic in AGES, but I think you can download a community's tags. Not sure though. Any clarification on this would be appreciated. ;-)
LJ Cut We also ask our members to lj-cut certain information. This is to prevent members from being inadvertently spoiled.
CODE FOR LJ CUT TAG:
I'll also be adding this post as our "Welcome Post" so that it will, hopefully, stay "tacked" at the top of the page. ;-)
Now - Please help me. Does this help? Did I confuse you more? Did I help clarify anything? Is there something I could rephrase? Add?
